Sometimes the pictures can do the talking for you. From what I've read so far of these proposed new political advertising rules (candid disclosure: not much) I don't like the look of them at all.
When you see what it can do to misrepresent the dinner you're about to get, you wonder if we might not be better off banning advertising altogether.

The Burger King Whopper is a joke.
The McDonalds Big MAC isn't too far fetched.
The Subway sandwich is disadvantaged by the fact that they can be so personally customised that it may be just a case of differing ingredient lists.
The biggest visual difference looks to me to be the ad images crisp, green, leafy lettuce and the actual product's shredded stalks and wilted centres.
