  • Sacha, in reply to Russell Brown,

The image comes in above what you've written.

Any reason for that? Seems round the other way to how this site has always contextualised embedded clips for example - explanation first, media second.

  • Stewart,

I doubt this will come through as it is shown as baing of JPG type and I can't find how to lower-case the extension...

  • Stewart,

Anyone got any idea how I can set the file extension to '.jpg'?

We use Windows7 here and in Explorer, using the 'Details' format, the file is noted as being a 'JPEG image' and it failed to load so I assume it has a ".JPG' extension.

  • Steve Barnes,

Yes, that .JPG / .jpg thing is a bit annoying, Windows7 does the capital thing by default. Would it be possible to change that to accept capitalised file extensions?.

  • Steve Barnes,

    Seems it's not a Widows7 thing, it's a Canon thing.

This sums up what I do, what I'm all about.

And then they turn into this. Not trite at all.

By the way, the developers are working on the JPG/jpg issue, and we'll try to post some reliable guidelines later today.

Along with another post maybe. Anyone want to see more of the students hanging off the Auckland Uni buildings?

I took some time lapse photos years ago - at work too - from the start of the process. It was amazing. This child and I spent 2 hours or more watching the entire thing. I so wish I had kept the photos.

My beautiful daughter on a beautiful day in Auckland.

Yes, it's kind of off topic compared to the other photos around, but it's all I had to hand, and I'm testing uploading of images with uppercase file extensions. :-)

  • tarlen, in reply to Steve Barnes,

It's actually an industry thing. Most cameras and camera phones use uppercase extensions on the files they create.

    Fixed now though. :-)

  • Stewart,

I am impressed witht he speed at which you've got this sorted to use the '.JPG' extension.

A big "Well done!" to all involved.

Interesting point. I think the idea is that the text posted with a photo is as a 'Caption'. But you're right, we're using to having our say, and then adding the media after.

Hey, I'm still just thrilled everyone is using it. Frustration born of endeavour is better than no endeavour at all?

Although Hebe seems to have reached levels that I can hear from here.
