That pic of Auckland Uni health and safety nightmare reminds me of Canterbury in 1987. Yoof of today may be a disgrace with regards to their drinking behaviour but nothing has really changed.

Excellent! Our fist photo reply. As a reward, I'll tell you about this attachment for the G9 which allows you to attach a polariser, although only under zoom, or else you get the corners cut off. I have one, but don't use?

I work in the photography department at Unitec and film is making a comeback. The tumbleweed has stopped rolling through the darkrooms, and students?

I currently use a Fuji HS20, complete with HD video capability. I?ve fallen behind a bit on updating my own Photobucket gallery, so this might just provide some impetus.

I find darkrooms madly exciting. Even the nasty chemical fumes are madly exciting ? they remind me of those magic times I?ve watched an image slowly appear and known it?s a good one.

Haven?t been in one in years, though?digital?s just too convenient.

Wow, quite an image Jackie. What year was that? And where?

Select the image the image you want in iPhoto, then choose Export from the File menu.

Export as a a jpeg, quality high, size large. That's way smaller than full-size, but plenty nice for here.

Overall though, I'm loving the New Dialogue of imagery, text and nostalgia. It's everything I hoped for... Oh crap, a Joe Cocker earworm.

Any reason for that? Seems round the other way to how this site has always contextualised embedded clips for example – explanation first, media second.

We use Windows7 here and in Explorer, using the 'Details' format, the file is noted as being a 'JPEG image' and it failed to load so I assume it has a ".JPG' extension.

And then they turn into this. Not trite at all.

By the way, the developers are working on the JPG/jpg issue, and we'll try to post some reliable guidelines later today.

Yes, it's kind of off topic compared to the other photos around, but it's all I had to hand, and I'm testing uploading of images with uppercase file extensions. :-)

Think you might be right. As we are all limited to the size of our screens, most people would be covered by a maximum image size of 1600 pixels or less, and a resolution of 96dpi.
