  • Sofie Bribiesca,

I was at a Camera shop this afternoon. Inside the front door was a beautiful, gentle dog with a little jacket on, which was an I see dog . I thought I’ll nip outside and grab the camera. . Quick walk up the aisle as what happens once you’re in the shop, got down t’other side. Dog gone. Missed opportunity. Turns out ,the dogs name was Stella.

I'm with Lillith. Poppets! As an aside, I'm here in Hamilton just for the night, to see a friend. I take my laptop and external HD round so she can see Ruby. Never met her, but loved Cleo. She couldn't believe how many photos I had of her. And I worry I don't have enough.....speaking of which!

    And perhaps one more……

The Doggy remake of The Prisoner?

And did these paws in ancient times...

“You don’t see rabbits being walked down the street
and you don’t see many cats on leads...”

Bill English missed an easy billion -
with an even pettier pet tax...

    It was the government's fault
It was the fault of the government
    I was very let down
From the budget I was expecting a one million quid handout
    I was very disappointed
    It was the government's fault
It was the fault of the government

I'll take a rest from mental fight now....

You can see a lot of stuff on the internet that you'd never see on the street.

Can’t help but share my family’s beautiful girl Stephie… her claim to fame is as the niece of the “Bugger Dog” (you know the one). She is so incredibly trainable (due to an endless and sometimes quite disturbing need for affection/physical contact) that we never contemplated letting her near a camera. I took this photo over 2 years ago when I was home and experimenting with my brother’s zoom lens. I’m afraid at 10, and after endless bounds up and down the Te Henga sand dunes, her hind legs are less bouncy than they were :(

It's nice to see that dogs are welcome in pubs in the UK. This one was in a wee pub in Bexley Heath. Sat wherever she liked, which was next to us for some time.

She is gorgeous - just so beautiful. There's something mischevious about beagles that I absolutely love.

  • Gareth,

We're on number three. Last one (the amazingly charming Peg) was NZ's first champion truffle dog. Rosie is a trainee truffle hound. She can find truffles, but hasn't worked out that it's her job...

She'll be so useful when she has worked that out! Do you need extra tall kitchen benches with your Beagles, or a firmly closing kitchen door?

More? I wrote the book!.See also the farm blog. ;-)

Separating beagles from food involves high benches, door closing, physical restraint and patience. All plates get a pre-wash before the dishwasher...
