Pretty sure these folk got an award; there were a lot of awards for "kindness" as well as for heroic rescues. And there was an award to the "Citizens of Christchurch" for service to neighbours.

Eh, I overheard multiple people here who were pretty unhappy with the way he handled himself at the memorials. Now, I actually reckon most of that was unfair, but still, it's bad when someone who knocked doors?

It is a piece at least 6 years old. Cant remember when I took that photo, but I took this in it's new home today.. The cracks represent a number of things for me.

When I think of remembrance, and symbols of grief, I often think of the temples in Kamakura, where I found myself in 1991. My grandfather had just passed away back in New Zealand, and I couldn't make it back for the funeral, so spent?

A couple of weeks ago a bumblebee flew up my trouser-leg and got stuck. It stung (or possibly bit — I'm told they don't sting) twice and I got these enormous red welts on my calf. I don't blame the bumble, but?

Nice idea, but I would want a lead in. That's about all the fountain shots I have. But we may go on assignment sometime and revisit it. The moving water theme is a nice one.

That is all I ever hope to achieve. There is photos, there is art. with pictures I cant see judgement, but if someone enjoys it or gets something valid, that is an idea worth capturing..
