Low, low tide at Pauanui; the sky lent itself to the beach for a while in mercury pools.

    Looks like a lovely night

milking the old Silo park again

Can I try 3 alternative titles?
    (ok, that was largely a
    rhetorical question)

    Stairing into the abyss
    (with the drain's nadir)

    Lap dance

    Rough crossing...

hmmm, it's gonna be a long
    short week, methinks...

Hiked up to Crosbies Hut from Te Puru (just north of Thames). The track was a little muddy in places.

Bah spent the weekend with a cold chisel and 1500g hammer removing tile adhesive from our kitchen floor.

This is what an A0 photo print looks like. Over the Labour Weekend I made four of different photos I've taken around Auckland.

I'm sending the one in the photo to an exhibition displaying only photocopied/cheap print images. I still haven't figured out how to mail the A0 photo, so might have to drive it out.

    Paper Pirates

I've got another 3 back home of different photos, what should I do with them?

That shot really is a great photo Sim.

You could sell them. Or if you're feeling really generous, go stick them on a wall somewhere. A big wall.

    Please excuse the interruption, but

Rats, yuk yuk yuk. I am not only terrified, paranoid and phobic , I just plain cant stand the critters and..
Hebe, can you email me an address to send your pongas. Possibly 2 species. Haven't figured out which they are yet but also one may just be a fern.
They are from the pongas on the right of Stella in the driveway.

Really like the A0 Photo Simantics

Jackson and everyone, I'm just loving this thread and all the wonderful and various images and stories, so big appreciative thank you's to all. It lightened my Labour Weekend, which was in need of it!

how to mail the A0 photo

Rolled up, in a long carboard tube of some sort? Though I'd hand-deliver to Newmarket to be safe. Nice work.

Paper Pirates looks like fun. How to whittle down choices?!

Here’s a couple of extras from Silo yesterday.

    Blue Silo
    Rusty silo pipe
Well lit night nets - looks to me like some carefully arranged stage set - enter stage right....

  • simantics, in reply to Nora Leggs,

I like the photo of the electricity cable with the blue silo background. It reminds me of those really bright favelas (slums) you'd find in Rio. Not sure if that's a very good thing, but oh well.

There's only more day left for Paper Pirates so I'd recommend you whittle away quickly.

  • Joe Wylie, in reply to Jackie Clark,

Well, yesterday was special for many many reasons, but one of the highlights was having this young man snuggled up to me for at least 3 hours.

    That's about 25 rat hours.
