  • Islander, in reply to David Hood,

We were driving out to Orokanui Ecosanctuary for a day trip,

Dear David - I really appreciate your posts but

it is OROKOnui (SI dialect for Orongonui.) Kai Tahu Whanui is really proud of the place - and the name. We envisage it as an island, from which the birds will spread & regenerate the South...

Boat stranded on the Sumner bar. It lay on the sand at low tide, here it is tossed about as the tide comes in.

  • Lilith __, in reply to Jos,

Andy Goldsworthy has done a fair bit of throwing. (I thought of that with Jackson’s autumn leaves a while back, actually!)

And painter David Ligare has done a beautiful series of thrown draperies. For example, this and this.

Thank god we have a Minister who knows what he is doing.
For far too long we have had Ministers in charge of things they know nothing about and departments not listening to those that do.
If it Department of Economic Development anf the EQC had listened to Amy Adams they would have known File Sharing was wrong and they wouldn't have sent those eMails.

Shame is that these ideas actually make sense. Why they think this is a joke is beyond me.
