    Oh my gosh.

    I really love Sun Ra’s 1950s “space bop” singles and have a collection of them on CD. Now, Strut is preparing to release a vinyl box set.

    What a beautiful thing.

    I have the Sun Ra – The Singles double CD. Never get tired of songs like this:

    as there is no Kiwi music category, I agonised over which heading to put these in and ended up with ‘Other’
    as neither ‘Rock’ nor ‘Pop’ seemed right either
    – any suggestions?

    I’ve put another coupla comics up today as well, including a 1958 Mandrake reprint from Lower Hutt!!

    My wife and I have just welcomed twins so a bit more challenging to post comments right now (but all good!) – nice to see some TBG love, and that Pitchblack live on. They camped next to us at the first Gathering, many moons ago :)

    Pitch Black played a live gig in London a couple of months ago. I'm not entirely sold on the new album, but their live show is excellent.

    Just watching the APRA Silver Scrolls on YouTube - Nice job RNZ.
    Great that Moana Maniapoto has been 'duct-taped' into the NZ Music Hall of Fame....
