  • Craig Ranapia,

Heh. I know a good recipie for Schadenfreude Pie

The problem with folks like Kristol is that he's so deep in denial (and shameless with it), you you spread cow pie on a cracker and he'd ask where you got the exquisite pate. But he sure could do with being force-fed a brace of crow, with a big slice of humble pie to follow.

  • Tom Ackroyd,

At the Republican election party thing, they have choirboys. Choirboys. I'm just gonna let that sit there.

And if they had had choirboys at the Democrats party thing?

  • Rich Lock,

Had a quick squizz at fox at luchtime. One chap was having a good-ol' toy-throwing freakout about early voting. Just a matter of 'convenience', apparently.

Well, hmmmmm. Vote early, or wait in line for eight hours. Gosh, what a hard choice.

  • Craig Ranapia,

As far as Kristol is concerned, I don't give a damn what he eats as long as he gets a pink slip from the New York Times. His column's only use to make the other token right-y, David Brooks, look good by comparison. And he needs to lift his damn game, too.

  • giovanni tiso,

One little thing can revive a guy,
And that is home-made schadenfreude pie.

I want this thing liveblogged by Garrison Keillow.

  • Russell Brown,

I have to go to a meeting now. Unfair.

It seems only a few minutes ago that I sat down in front of the TV with a free-range bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich and a glass of pinot gris. I was so happy.

Thank Garrison Keillor, whose down-home radio comedy stylings I just plundered.

  • tussock,

The people of Massachusetts are going to repeal their state income tax, by a large margin. Classic. Of course, the same trick will be used by Floridians to save all their marriages from teh gays. Weird country.

  • Danielle,

I have to go on an enquiry desk for 1.5 hours at 3.30, just as I'm starting to get really, really teary-eyed about how symbolically awesome this is (and I'm not even playing that Sam Cooke song). Great, that's all the students need: a crazed, crying librarian. 'May I help you?'

  • Kyle Matthews,

Obama still well ahead in NC, OH and FL. Any one of those three finishes it, all three makes it a stroll to the finish line.

Did I just see 175 to 49 EVs in Obama's favour on the Herald site?

    @Tussock
T'other way around - the top option is NO rather than YES, as in most of the other ballots, and they're currently at 438K NO to 190K YES

(I had to look twice too)

Luke: I'm flattered. There's no gift like poetry.

Wow, folks. I think I'm well past the nervous-wreck-can't-believe-it-might-just-happen-what-about-Darth-Rove stage. This looks gooood.

  • Graeme Edgeler,

Anyone else noticed that the results page on MSNBC has 14 of 35 Senate Seats still to be decided, and none of the 435 House Seats.

    Is the gerrymandering that good?
