  • Hebe, in reply to Joe Wylie,

Lovely work Joe. Who are the two women in the foreground of that shot?

  • Rob Stowell, in reply to Hebe,

I think one might be Jo Malcolm- whose mum fell 5 stories in the CTV building- and survived. I think she (Malcolm senior:)) is in the film- possibly even has the last word? (Haven’t seen it yet- hoping to this week)

  • Hebe, in reply to Sacha,

Senior Council reps tell the #eqnz Inquiry they can’t enforce quake-strengthening,

Interesting one that; I am told there are many many buildings well under code that are on the leasing-out market, particularly in the less-affected north and west of the city. One that I know of has been found to be less than 33 percent of the code. What do I take from that? If you don't think a building is safe, it probably isn't, even with no major damage evident. And that a lot of under-code buildings have been quickly tenanted because they are in the "safe" parts of Christchurch.

The film is well worth it. Compelling, moving, funny, elegaic, sad, emotional with the good feelings there too. Gerard Smyth has done a fine job; it's a tribute to his deep respect for individuals and goodness of heart, and a great editing job. I worried that the movie would come too soon for most people ( including me given that I vomited after watching some of the rough footage in March/April), but I came away feeling up rather than down, and feeling has stayed since the screening on Wednesday. I need to see it again a time or two to take it all in.

I'm looking forward to it, and I wasn't, initially :)

Thanks Hebe, Ms Gudrun who shot it will be most appreciative.
I believe that the woman on the left is TVNZ reporter Lisa Davies.

  • Just thinking,

Spot the Civil Servants in the march.

Clearing my involvement in any action. I can do anything, just don't get photographed.

It never crossed my mind to wear a hood.
