That Muldoon photo is a classic.

Staring straight down the lens of the camera, of course.

I’ll be looking out for the book.

Good to see that the PhotoForum book has an interview with Murray Cammick, as well as some of Murray's fine music and flash cars photographs that we had previously featured on Capture.

Great image. A painting by Bob Kerr - more details on the Te Ara site, here, and details of the current exhibition at Tauranga Art Gallery, featuring this and other paintings of Archibald Baxter's ordeal, here.

how we commemorate wars, with appropriate acknowledgement of those who served

Yes – and the National Library archive is a great resource to help us do that. Just wanted to acknowledge that again.

Anyway, a photo from tonight: Anzac eve at the cenotaph outside the Auckland War Memorial museum.

Seen at Real Groovy on record store day: a mint vintage BFM 91.8 t shirt circa 1987 - the 'greeblie' design by Chris Knox.

And re the whole Neil Young thing – amazed he can hear anything after four decades of Crazy Horse…

Probably thinks the high-pitched nasal whining noise in his ears is just his own voice.

Which brings us back to Pono, and Young's quest for better quality sound. In his book 'Waging Heavy Peace' he states (if I recall correctly) that his tinnitus came about as a result of the long period of mixing Weld in 1991, in a studio with 'low quality 16 bit' sound playing back at huge volume.
