Shayne Carter’s all-seated gig at Whammy Bar on saturday night

The crowd at the matinee show loved it, some intense playing of Dimmer and Straitjacket Fits songs but with acoustic guitar. And his repartee was spot-on, as usual. Meanwhile at the bar, they were fundraising for a unique cause.

  • Speaker: Ian Jorgensen: Images from A Movement,

Inspirational shots. Great work, Ian. I particularly like the 'sneaky' one of Liam Finn.

It has been lost for years in a timewarp … but now someone is calling time on the Grafton Oaks Hotel.

Courtney Barnett – Speaking of women who don’t give a fuck, this was unexpectedly badass! Fun songs with a reasonably grunty band.

Courtney and bass player, from too far away.

Royal Blood – ROCKIN’ power duo, boiling down bogan ridiculousness into its finest essence.

Loud as. Here’s what I learned waiting & watching Royal Blood set up: a flight case latch makes an excellent beer bottle opener.

That’s what happens when you have 1000+ to look through, and bang out a post before 9am

Good work & great shots, Jackson. I admire your stamina.

First NZ band to record a song with ‘Pohutukawa’ in the title? A novelty in its day.

So much is odd, teetering, a message from a world that changed

It looks great. And New Years Day 1977 is as remote now as New Years Day 1939 was in 1977.
