Sadly I also discovered that old scratched up records sound old and scratched :(.

If you have the patience and the time, getting hold of a good record cleaning machine - a nitty gritty or Keith Monks - and give your records a clean, it is well worth it.
the Keith Monks is better. It actually cleans the groove. It has an arm with something like dental floss in it which tracks like a tone arm. I will be doing mine again over winter. Its been 15 yrs.

Easy peasy to gnarled old rockers giving the crowd what they want.

I read it with increasing horror. I hope a libel action is really seriously looked at.

Thanks again. I figured out what the problem was.

Been trying for two days now to read Selwyn Manning's story on Scoop about Key's dissing of Jon Stephenson. I just cant get that page to load which seems odd, everything else loads. Just not that page. Can someone who can open it put a link here, please.

    Righto. Bought a new turntable,

that was quick. I had thought I’d quiz a few friends and might have scared up an older english made turntable for you.

With infinite patience a friend over years of visiting flea markets in AK has lucked onto a few things. Including the turntable I use, a Rega Planar for $25.

    Enjoy that vinyl.

It was odd but a wonderful collision of artistic endeavour and....a population looking for a good time. As its said Woohoo!
