Thanks to PA, I could do that Mr Slater. Just sayin'.

Thanks to the information in the domain name system, really. To be honest I just posted it in as a whois output during a pitstop at an internet cafe, and I didn't even notice that it was a home address and ph no.

I've removed that information from the posts. I guess it's up to him to remove it from the public record if he wants.

I do promise not to go to his street and secretly photograph his family home so I can write a deranged post assailing him as "scum", etc. Can't say fairer than that.

Kite flying, dog walking, swimmers of all ages, the lovely sky, the warm water, old people just sitting and watching the goings on ...

For our last swim on Waiheke, we decided we'd had enough of surf and boogie-boarding (there was an excellent swell for a couple of days) and chose Enclosure Bay instead.

We arrived at high tide to find the little bay like a millpond, and occupied solely by old folks, either sitting on the shore or quietly paddling about in the water. It was so serene we all sensed we should keep our voices down. Very lovely.

And if any nutbag wants to get my home address from the North Shore electoral roll and come take pictures, at least give me some warning so I can do the windows and trim the hedge.

You mean you're not all-tidy-all-the-time? You'll have the Gay Mafia wanting their membership card back.

I though the funniest thing in Oil's slick was the description of a 600m2 section in Sandringham as an "estate".

Given that he's odd-on to be Prime Minister by the end of the year, it just made me wonder if Key has the depth of personality to be able to say the right thing, as leaders must on occasion.

She mostly bears it with good grace, but get around a friend who’s not a fan of computers and empty half a bottle of wine into them both, well, then I find out how unwelcome my clever gadgets are.

I thought for a moment you meant that the pair of them had emptied a half a bottle of wine into your computers. That would have been harsh.

    Robyn, I *love* old magazines.

Me too. I forgot to mention that I also got three 1971 issues of Time magazine. Two of the cover stories are Apollo 15 and the NASA funding crunch, and a preview of that year's Frazier-Ali fight. Choice.

One of the coolest parts of researching my thesis was reading fifteen years' worth of the New Zealand Women's Weekly

I got an email today from someone who's doing a lot of reading for a media history-related thesis, and he's become very fond of The New Zealander for the reasons I touched on in my post. It's an interesting time.

or maybe the lack of substance is the point, no thinking required?

    No, it's just different music.

Ooh yes, Burial is on my list to grab at some point. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we're doing the big family OE later this year so all our dosh is going into savings and all the fun things I like to do like buying music is on hold until we get back.

You could go to emusic.com and get it as part of your no-obligation 25 free downloads. You'd have enough for Prince Fatty too -- I'm sure you'd dig that.

__And … we had a Commission of Inquiry into Chiropratic?__

i'd like to know the outcome of that.

Quite favourable, you will be alarmed to hear.
