    This was the morning after and both are just getting to know one another.Little Ginger was a stray kitten on the farm and was nurtured by the children. She has settled in very well. Such a lovely sound, a little lamb calling for her bottle amongst the diggers and building noises.

    Snowdrop and Ginger exploring the hood. Our newest neighbour, just a week old. Born on a freezing night in Marlborough she enjoys the comfort of city backyard living and the attention of a wonderful family, including three cats two guinea pigs.

    Today at 1pm the empty Copthorne Hotel collapsed in a pancake fashion. People working on the deconstruction were securely fastened to cranes therefor nobody suffered injuries

    Cleaners in this city as all round New Zealand have a struggle to make ends meet with extremely low wages.     Kilmore Street / Durham Street North corner....Barriers to separate building sites and footpath have succumbed to a 100 km /hr Norwester. Surprisingly the inner city remains pretty much unscathed.
