Hard News: The Vision Thing, in reply to
Rob, serious question, are there any figures on this
Just wondering if as poverty has increased in NZ, has the under-performing tail got any larger? -
Hard News: A storm in any port,
What Bart said
But think about it, bulk of NZ population lives in Auckland, all the stuff it uses (apart from food) comes from off shore, dragging it from another port seems........trying to think of the word here......stupid -
Southerly: Deconstruction and Construction,
Bob the builder, hasn't he grown and yes a four year old who plainly can build better than me (with supervision)
-
Hard News: This Is Not A Complicated Issue,
Agree with the above, it is quite disgraceful that it has taken so since the election to get traction on this
On the other hand what the have the Greens been doing about getting a proper set up for their member, I don't think it should come out of the monies they get from Government Services but surely they might have pushed for their new member to be able to participate before now
I sense a bit of grandstanding here but frankly it is a poor showing all round -
Legal Beagle: It's (almost) never that simple,
So a taxpayer donation of Key's valuable time to Radio Live? I guess that's another angle...
Got to love the way lawyers minds work

First rule of driving is that you must drive to the conditions, if it is foggy, wet, what ever you must be able to stop before you crash
If you do crash you have to have a very good explantion to not be charged with a careless driving charge or worse
So riding a bike, passing on the left, wet conditions and not watching for car doors opening suddenly is not a good position to be in, tragic for all concerned
Trouble is you are so more vulnerable on a bike and the only real way to fix this is dedicated bike lanes that are safe -
Hard News: Review: Lana Del Rey, 'Born…,
I take no interest in what passes as pop music now I don't think it is written or played for me and can just imagine the huge cringe if some old bugger had expressed an interest in it when I was young
But I love Video Games, heard it first on the radio (natradio) and it was bang just like when the Beatles and the Stones arrived
So the "back story" is manufactured, what's new suckers! I -
OnPoint: Association of Community…,
Great work Keith even thought it is depressing as the "Timaru Herald" is my local paper
One of their reporters often comments here, wonder if he has another theory on their slackness -
Hard News: Nobody wanted #EQNZ for Christmas,
I have always believed the story about Paradise ducks mating for life but when one of a pair on our farm was killed (an accident that was partly my fault) a bunch of the opposite sex turned up quite quickly and a new mate picked.
Fortunatly this one was fertile unlike the dead one
I had thought rats had been stopping the breeding but that was also proved wrong -
