    the admirable Chiton...
    Leigh, what wonderful beasts...
takes me back to hours of fun spent fossicking in the rock pools around Cave Rock, at Sumner...

    look like a Doric...
But, I can't believe that Greeks wear them, must be painful getting them off...

milking the old Silo park again

Can I try 3 alternative titles?
    (ok, that was largely a
    rhetorical question)

    Stairing into the abyss
    (with the drain's nadir)

    Lap dance

    Rough crossing...

hmmm, it's gonna be a long
    short week, methinks...

    Evening, Ravensbourne

    Looks like a lovely night

    Quarto master...

    the GES was locally fearless

My uncle Andy used to work there,
I still have the lead slugs he gave
us kids with our names on...

    the ability, at age 9,
    to reproduce your name
    from a machine artifact,*
    stirs something...

    ...something I have yet
    to satisfactorily assuage.

    Clocking out...

...this sounds like a series of working norms that will produce, almost by design, superficial, inaccurate, and poorly analysed “stories” that just happen to perpetuate the interests of the already powerful.

    <reminiscences, early 21st century>

    I remember it was raining
    that Labour Day they cracked
    the Great Game's DNA...
    Bucketing down,
    sluicing away the webs,
    veils and screens...
We were a torrent of bits
    acting as one -
    pooling our resources,
    eddies not snarls,
    going with the flow,
    putting the luv
    in diluvial...

    ...collapsing calzone

which part of chch is that?
    ;- )

Could be a nice twist for the harbour region's marketing
    conflating caldera and zones
    while smelling Madeira and scones
    a tiny pizza paradise...

    graft n scoop....

    “must understand complex specialist information”

... but whatever happened to MSM reporters having "Rounds", specialist areas in which they built up knowledge, contacts and credibility, usually under the tutelage of some seasoned editor, or, er, grizzled 'hack' ...
This seems to have almost disappeared, as the norm....
