  • Hard News: Good Friday Music,

What I've been listening to today (twice so far, and likely to be more, it's that good) is Black Boned Angel's swansong album The End - limited edition (like most of his stuff unfortunately), beautifully packaged, and loud as a really loud thing.

No YouTube, but the first of 3 tracks can be listened to here

    Thanks!

  • Hard News: Music: In before Christmas,

This is the only Christmas song you need

And it's a valid question, the one about where does someone like Katie Thompson get public exposure - it's a similar situation for Delaney Davidson, who's last two albums have been in lots of "best of" end of year lists, but who could just as well not exist as far as radio or TV coverage goes.

  • Hard News: Friday Music: Summer Live,

Neil Young is one I would love to be able to afford to go to, but I'll have to settle for these guys tonight - looking forward to it

  • Hard News: Judging the judges, in reply to Graeme Edgeler,

Do you assume an SST representative would not add to the conversation in some way?

I think they would add to the conversation, but not in a way that would be overly constructive

No Sensible Sentencing Trust representative then? *verylargesafetywink*

Can we post The Audience embedded tracks as well? I tried to do one but in the preview it didn't really work. I just wanted to plug a young lady called Isla Norman from Christchurch, who sings whimsical, slightly cynical pure pop ditties, and wanted to post her track "Florence Nightingale" from The Audience

    Dawn Raids, not so much.

    That's very true

The Norman Kirk government would provide me with an instant answer for one of those on the whole pretty bad "What makes you proud to be a New Zealander" ads - the sending of a frigate to protest French nuclear testing in the Pacific was not only a wonderful piece of showmanship, but the first time I can recall New Zealand having a grown-up, independent foreign policy initiative.
