Mangere Market on Sat am is good for veges and often fruit but all is seasonal. Strawberry Farm on Kirkbride Rd is fantastic for veges and strawberries in season (last day is this Sunday for this season).
The fish shop in Onehunga Mall is great, fresh and a bit cheaper than elsewhere. The fish stall in Mangere Bridge carpark on Saturday and Sunday is for smoked fish and mussels - export quality at a reasonable price.
The streets around me at present have feijoas and guavas hanging over hedges and fences making walks an even more delight.
Have to travel for bread but Wild wheat anda freezer fixes that.
Other more processed treats - well I take you advice. Oh apart from my own fantastic home chutneys and relishes and sauces. Library has recipes, above have the produce. -
good post Russell. I was working in the area of EEO for about a decade from the mid 80s. It is disheartening to see that generally-abled people and organisations still do not quite grasp what the well known and well used terms 'level playing field' and 'equal opportunity' mean and still do not know how to apply them to the workplace. As for reducing it to cost, well the related laws of our land do not contain that qualification so it does not apply. To be still debating these issues after so many years and governments is a marker of the lip service government pays to these laws.

But we were a Vanguard family and had several - can only find photos of 2 - not the preferred ute or the later Triumphs. I learnt to drive in the Phase II. The last here is when I spotted a beloved Phase II in the carpark in Saxmunden in 2011 and the owner proudly posed

Though I live in NZ I work with mainly educationally disengaged youth throughout UK and fear (know) several of our kids will be amongst the looters. I suppose I will find out more in a few days when they may log on again. It is thuggish looting and though I don’t at all condone it I can see how rampant consumerism has a lot to answer for. Also our teams in Blackpool, Bolton, West London, Wakefield, Wolves, Salford etc have had their funding stopped or severely reduced. Associated agencies who help with transition from education to work have also been closed down in these areas. All since the current UK government came to power – so it is not only youth clubs etc closed, but also preferred access to education and working initiatives. Would you be angry, what would you care about if it was you? I am not surprised it has moved North and fear it may even be more violent and destructive there.
