Goo vibrations...
I think I heard Avalanche City earn $15 at the end of the
NZ vs Oz match last night! And after enjoying some Beautiful Noise from Yo La Tengo on The Arts Channel last night, I awake to find one of the other brilliant Matador husband and wife teams are separating!

The Tokoroa Candidate...
Can sleeper Quade Cooper now come in from the cold?
After enduring years as a 2nd class non-citizen in Australia,
and playing his part to the hilt, his work now is done.
Will he be given his place in the sun and the heroes medal he richly deserves in guaranteeing New Zealand's place in the RWC finals... -

Channelling the All Blacks...
After all the furore about coverage of the RWC it all looks pretty damn silly tonight - what with live coverage on 3 free-to-air channels plus Sky Sport 1 (and the poor old trans-Tasman League clash is relegated to Sky sport 2 and a delayed broadcast at 11.35pm on Prime).
And how do any of these hope to gain any market share up against Mission Impossible 3 on TV2 and Q+A on TV7!!
Now I see that Kath and Kim repeats are going to play at 5pm on TV1 just before the new half hour Coronation St slot - just who does this programming? Do they watch the shows or have any idea of their content, it hardly seems kiddy fare... -

Getting some Clean ball...
I dream of hearing ‘Point That Thing Somewhere Else’ before a game, and that ain’t gonna happen.
Anything could happen surely, or Tally ho
would be great starters...

"We can have a democratic society or we can have the concentration of great wealth in the hands of the few. We cannot have both."

Strait up!
I nominate "She Speeds" to be
played after a runaway try......as a fitting tribute to every New Zild announcers'
favourite female rugby player - Annie.
"...Annie's scooped up the ball,
Annie's fended off two tacklers,
Annie's racing up the pitch,
Annie's gorgeous by the posts!"(Yeah I know I've done this one before,
but Kiwi classics need reinforcement)
