Yes Craig, agree, however, I think it is the repetition from msm , not the facts from police covering this case , that tends to cheapen her image. What I was pointing out was how sensationalist it ends up until we move onto the next murder. Sad. Aside of that, hope you have a hippy news year. ;)

We'll get through New Year okay, I think ...

You got the music sorted? Projector screen for the tarp wall could be a good idea also :) Happy News Year Russell.

Well, they do, but the whole hanging on to the key words is an unfortunate sensationalist rhetoric.

Christchurch police are following a number of new leads in the death of Mellory Manning, who was murdered 11 days ago while working as a prostitute.__"

"while working" would be sufficient surely?

  • Current Status: Holidays,

Sofie did you get along to the ak 79 gigs and if so, impressions, highlights?

Yes I did. Impressions were somewhere way back when it happened.(a blog at the time that I don't remember the title of ) Generally, it was fan fukin great. Apparently I haven't aged :) Proud Scum then and now, still my fav of the lot. Spelling Mistakes, still the consummate performance, but in all, good for those of us who had been there before. The Features weren't heading in that direction so for me, I didn't like. Terrorways felt really old school, but Scavs were fav of people I went with. Total buzz. Also Headless chooks were liked by some I knew and weren't by others I knew, but a good muso friend wandered in and commented "same as they always were. I think that sums them up. Merry and Happy daylight :)

  • Random Play: The Last of the Long…,

Ooooh, long lunches. Weren't they just the best part of working hard?!! I remember them fondly and recall quite a few memorable ones at Prego ...

Yeah but ,na but. Thing is plebs (workin' class, like meself) see a long lunch (noted by several pinot gris glasses at table at lunchtime, thus indicating time spent at table) as one is passing restaurant (Jervois Rd is particularly good for this) as an indication of a lazy unnecessary participant in whatever it is that they claim to be working hard for (hence requiring a long lunch at lunchtime anyway) :)

  • Current Status: Holidays,

Today started with making dips. i tried out my new (another xmas one) Breville Wizz Stainless plus. Most pleased :)Managed a red roasted peppers and sundried tomatoes dip and a quacamole and a smoked gemfish and lime dip. Then, this afternoon I have preped 3 pizzas and t'other half made one. The only thing left is a spanish roast capsicums dish for the last of the nibbles, that a friend will make when he gets here (doesn't know that yet). Why you ask? Well, my birthday is new years eve and most people exit for 31/12, or other friends are where we will head later next week, so.... I figure today is as good as any to celebrate 45 albeit 3 days early .

I got the Ironclad gloves (for all the tough jobs) and a rather tall pottery sculpture that sways in the breeze and tinkles. Not sure who the Artist is, though I will find out. Cool. :)
