    Grim and beer it...

I went searching for a bar that would actually be nice to sit down and have a drink in. It took 1 min to find one.

This must be the massive trickle down of money to the local economy that was heavily touted from the outset...
An irony of McCully's takeover/makeover would be if his prophylactic personal style resulted in nobody going to (National) Party Central...

    Hager is no hagiographer...

The first “fully informed” review I’ve seen, by Mark P Williams on Scoop, is interesting

After reading that review I not only want to read the book, but I also want want Nicky Hager to be Prime Minister - someone who actually cares and thinks at depth about our country and its future! More power to his pen!!

...but it was ironic that 3 News had a “hell on earth” voiceover running over pictures of Quay Street during the fireworks – which showed people of all ages laughing, cheering and having a good time.

  • Southerly: Tower Insurance Have Some Bad…, in reply to Sacha,

No castles, just donjons and drag-ons...

Chris Ryan from the Insurance Council seeming refreshingly straight-up about where the industry is at

He says of red zone repairs vs replacement cases "...ranges the whole gambit" (17:03ish) - so not the full gamut then - just more chess games and advantage seeking...
He also says full replacement is offered - but not at the price insured at it seems, just the arbitrary RV - I don't see any progress from that interview apart from potentially more work for lawyers...
