and it looks like LeBron will leave as soon as he can

I will be having words with you about this.

As to the Sounders, don't forget this actually happened.

And for the Pulse, don't forget they were cursed from the very beginning...

Oh and possibly my favourite Eli moment was when he first played against the Chargers in 2005 and the fans booed and shook their noisemakers every time he was on the field, making it impossible for him to audible and resulting in several false starts/general confusion in the Giants' offence/sacks.

And the Red Wings (The Steel City can always count on the Wings) lost the NHL title to the Penguins, even after a 2-0 lead in the series.

From wikipedia:

1967–82: The "Dead Wings" Era

Only a year after making the Finals, the Red Wings finished a distant fifth, 24 points out of the playoffs. It was the beginning of a slump from which they would not emerge for almost 20 years. Between 1967 and 1983, Detroit only made the playoffs twice, winning one series. From 1968 to 1982, the Wings had 14 head coaches (not counting interim coaches), with none lasting more than three seasons... During this dark era in franchise history, the team was derisively known as the "Dead Wings"[8] or "Dead Things".

BTW, talking about NFL in the off-season, post-draft? You oughta be ashamed of yourself.

1967–82: The "Dead Wings" Era

Hard to believe the Red Wings were that crap for that long.

For mine, I'd like to put forward Toronto as worst North American sport town. The Raptors are at best average, and always choke in the playoffs (if they make it). The Jays haven't made the playoffs since they won the whole shebang in the early 90s. And most importantly, the Leafs, who're the only team anyone in TO gives a shit about, haven't won a cup in 40 years, and haven't even made the playoffs the last 3 years. Oh, and they have an MLS franchise which also sucks.
