My son's name is Corbin, which is old english for Raven, the first question my grandmother asked was "does he have black hair then?".
Nope. Ginger. If I had a buck for every old lady who said "oooh, what lovely hair, who does he get that from?"...

My daughters name is Goldie, its an old english name that means " The child with the golden locks."
Would it be unfair stereotyping to assume that she's fond of porridge?

17 of 41 American Presidents had Scottish Ulster ancestry. New Zealand also has ulster culture, in it's Governmental history.
I think Massey and Muldoon are the only PMs with major Ulster ancestry. (Massey was born there: Muldoon's grandparents were from there)
We have a lot of Celts in general. As well as a high level of Scottish and irish migration (esp. the former although not I think as great a proportion as Canada) NZ also had a particularly high proportion of West Country migrants - Cornwall and Devon. I learned this when helping to put together a family history a couple of years ago (Hosking is a west country name).
When I had hair, it used to go reddy-auburn in summer. Does that make me a partial ginga?

you'll be getting a visit when the anti-ginga revolution finally comes.

I'm not full ginga, just saying... but I'm concerned about the Greens plans to link the Mt Eden train station to Britomart.

Bring it on Tibby, I'm not scared of you.
...Scuttles off to dye her roots.

But the ginga-thing is wider than Celts.
Anyone remember Redhead King Pin - the Afro-American Hip Hop star whos Mom was a Cop,or Chemical Ali - The Iraqis have/had
a few and Afghanistan too. There are a few Redhead Maori out there as well, not sure if that's the Celts influence or what.
In my youth I had a thing for Strawberry Blonds, whos names ended in a, Tina, Gina, Victoria,... It was odd, not that I have/had a 'type' it just happened that way.

Us tall people stick out too. Very worrying being different in this way.
And doorways too.

We will address this issue, by amending the building act. We will reduce the permissible door hight. This will ensure Che and his undesirable sort, will 'be' pains in the neck, (plural).
Authorized by Ivan Gleek, 27 Gurnard road, Gore.

At last, a revolution I can identify with. It’s tough on here though Che
Because they can’t really go outside much, I guess that gingas are always going to be over-represented on forums and online message-boards etc..
Especially now that summer’s almost here.

Are you lot aware of ginga.co.nz?
(disclaimer, one of my colleagues is behind it)

Demonstrated by the fact that we have the highest proportion of Stewarts per thousand people of any country in the world, including Great Britain. (Probably not Scotland, though.)

4/ All the current leaders of New Zealand's political parties are on a plane. It crashes into the Andes with no hope of rescue for weeks. Whose delicious corpse do you save for last?
I think this question is worth discussing in its own right, because I think your logic is flawed. I think you should eat the most delicious person first.
Ah, see, I think that it's important to consider keeping quality. There is no point saving someone for last if they have the kind of corpse that's going to putrefy before you get to it.
That said, I'm not entirely sure how to judge that (not being especially carnivorous). Are we to make a judgment based on who is closest to a ready-made confit? Or on who is closest to a stick of jerky?

On that basis, you leave Winston Peters for last.
He's already dried up an ancient, and he probably can't taste any worse than he does now.

Oddly, that's the conclusion my partner and I came to discussing this - on the assumption that smoke-and-whiskey flavour would age really nicely.
