  • Russell Brown,

However there's a reasonable amount of food for thought in some of those numbers. Namely that group who have binged for more than 48 hours in the past 6 months but have no difficulty stopping or going without.

Well, they say they'd have no trouble stopping. Loadsa people say that.

That's a high proportion who seem to have it under control, considering the hype it gets.

I think 55% of frequent users self-reporting problems with friends and family, their health, or both, is very high. To be honest, I wouldn't particularly trust the ability of frequent users of methamphetamine to self-assess.

On the other hand, there's a large majority of users who never get to the state where it's a real problem, but as Damian indicated, the proportion of people who do get a problem seems higher with P than anything else I've ever seen.

  • chris,

Isn't that almost entirely about individuals not consciously valuing and respecting their bodies?

  • BenWilson,

They said they had it under control, anyway. Also, the statistics are limited to 'frequent users'. I couldn't find how frequent. Once a month is quite different to 5 times a day.

  • Seka,

Sorry Sofie that's not what I meant... I meant drugs that correlate with violent crime - alcohol is number 1.
