  • Jackie Clark, in reply to Megan Wegan,

I think it’s some sort of spy organisation. Sort of a French American KGB. Either that or someone's really pretty, and he spelled it wrong.

L before I, but, yegads – do not angry up Brangelina. I’ve seen Salt and am still terrified yet slightly aroused. ( The Tourist we shall not speak of again.)

  • Kris V,

ohhhh man... it's tough hearing that yet another thing I've been waiting for gets yanked away thanks to the latest round of seismic shite. I don't think I'll be able to make it up to Wgtn no matter how much I really really want to.

    :(

The whole bloody thing -- it's an epic masterclass in how not to make a romantic-thriller. Oh well, at least Depp and Jolie got a working holiday in Venice out of it.

I will attempt to persuade my Wellington-based son Travis (my gene double?) to go. He is the one without a beard.

  • Lucy Telfar Barnard, in reply to Joanna,

We've debated this for a long time. I think because Megan and I are Serious Sports People, we had a preference for mud. But others wanted to see Jelly. But seriously, I'll wrestle Megan in whatever substance I get the chance to

Sorry to join the conversation late, but I have it on good (though fortunately not firsthand) authority that the high sugar content in Jelly tends to lend itself to raging thrush infections. Go for the mud.

  • Lilith __,

Rats, I was really looking forward to the Chch Great Blend. And I'd love to come to Welly but I've a wedding to go to in Chch (believe it or not) on the 11th.

In other news, Armageddon (expo) in Chch may still happen.

  • Russell Brown,

I'd just like to note here that one of the things we've been struggling to do with the Wellington OGB is stretch the budget to cover flights and accommodation for David and Emma and their families.

I was prepared to stand the cost personally, but Quentin at Orcon has come back with some more money to cover it.

    That's so fucking cool.
