  • Paul Campbell,

Best sign I've seen so far, under a National sign "official representative of the 1% since 1936"

  • NBH,

Following that link out of morbid curiosity, I discovered that their Deputy Leader's name is Sean Fitzpatrick. Given that their opening address was authorised by Robert Palmer, I'm wondering if the Libz have adopted an unorthodox electoral strategy that involves every party member renaming themselves after their favourite celebrity and hoping that voters get confused.

  • Damian Christie,

...or just cunning candidate selection. It's like the Green candidate for Epsom, just happens to be called David Hay (well-known former right wing Auckland councillor)

  • Craig Ranapia,

[Oh, and by the way, I was right about Winston not standing, see.]

Point to Mr. Christie. Won’t stop the media’s “get a room and fuck already” bad bromance with Peters, though. Gaga, oooh la la…

Or, possibly, the name of a proposed new country.

I may not agree with their strategy, but I'll fight to the death for their right to execute it.

  • Damian Christie,

I did wonder that after years of thinking themselves terribly clever for incorporating NZ into their name, someone pointed out that NZ is actually one giant collective...

It could be a celebration of that libertarian paradise called Liberia.

Not a country so much as a set of individual property holdings all located geographically nearby, operating within a web of individual contractual agreements. Within three months approximately 74% of those land holdings would be needed for the contractual court system that would entail. And the flag would be a mess...

The plural of Libertarian is an argument.

This is what I love about the libertarianz, they don't wait for someone else to satirise them. You can just see something from them and start laughing, knowing that whatever it is, it's going to be funny.

They should be called the Cognitive Dissonance Party.

Actually from what I've seen, I think all Mr Peters' years of hating out at the media have finally come home to roost. He's been denied entry to the two minor leaders' debates on TVNZ because NZF doesn't meet the criteria. And no, that criteria is not "Party must not be led by a fucktard douche", but it's close enough. Point is, I don't see anyone hurrying to bend the rules for him.

You say 'hating out at the media'. I say 'demonstrating the media's inadequacies in a highly amusing manner'. He calls them as he sees them. Nothing wrong with that.

Oh no, and he's being punished by being left out of some lame televised debate! Gee, that'll really slow him down. Petulant fools.

The media needs Winston a lot more than Winston needs the media.
