  • barnaclebarnes,

You beat me to it. I mentioned embedding when we meet with them the other day and I think this is something they will definitely support. I would would be happy to run a pre-roll ad on the video if they gave me the ability to embed it on my site. Long term they should really look at sharing the revenue with sites life PA if they drive x number of stream views.

Yes, this is a little bit of a proof of concept, and I would actually have used their ad if we could have worked it out. I don't want to take away their revenue, after all ...

Perhaps someone will let us have the secret embed code ...

  • Tim Bassett,

Here's the d/l link, for those not on broadband or who're
keen to archive it. (50.5 MB)

    (Fire Fox: /View/Page Source)

  • Tim Bassett,

Darn, should've checked on that before posting.
You'll need to use the tiny link in a download manager
(e.g. Free Download Mangager). It won't (in my
FireFox setup, anyway) save directly [to desktop]
but will instead try to download the complete code.

  • Russell Brown,

If you can view the RSS feed in Safari, the download links are there, nice and easy.

  • Tim Bassett,

Oh yes. That worked for me in Firefox too. Still getting
to grips with this RSS business ...Am used to needing to
    search the page source for Alternet videos. :-}

  • Paul Capewell,

Denied... Seems they've blocked overseas IPs or something now - none of the FLVs load. Says they are forbidden. Gosh darn it.
