I'd be very surprised if NZ could hold onto really top notch developers. Unlike with film, there's no particular attraction to this location. So the ambitious ones will follow the cash. But we could do well nonetheless, there's no particular detraction either. I don't think great developers are the most crucial part of cranking out successful games. It's a full-court press, marketing figures highly, as does market research and a good business model. Most importantly, a good new idea/angle.
We're perfectly capable of making indie games, although indie game developers don't seem to care so much about $, for them it's a lifestyle choice.

Wikipedia was mentioned, but it was a clear typo, and acknowledged as such nearly immediately by the author.
To be honest, most Americans I know would likely agree although I know they're unusual in large parts of their homeland.
There's also large parts where they feel much the same as we do, angry about their elites, and powerless. This was a part of Obama's landslide, although now that he hasn't saved the world, I think the sense of powerlessness has deepened.

I'm curious, is there a received actual definition of twatcock? I can see what the words connote individual but that is not the same thing. So far, I've been using it to mean "someone who is a cock, and a cunt". But it struck me this might be wrong, maybe it's "a gender neutral word for someone who is a cock".

I think pretty much everyone here is on the same page, and struggling to find something to argue about, really. We all know that we don't know the truth about the rape.
I'm not sure what's caused the recent antagonism - is it existential despair that these leaks, which should be monumental, are seeming like a bit of a footnote in the news?
