Wow, quite an image Jackie. What year was that? And where?

I had to transfer it from iphoto to my desktop and rename it and add a little jpeg label, not a BIG ONE.
Simon, I really would have to ask my Mum (and she's away at the mo). It definitely about 1956, before he crashed at Bathurst.

  • Russell Brown, in reply to Jackie Clark,

think it might be too big. I’m giving up.

Select the image the image you want in iPhoto, then choose Export from the File menu.

Export as a a jpeg, quality high, size large. That's way smaller than full-size, but plenty nice for here.

  • Grant McDougall,

Regarding Russell's pic of Mt Eden earlier in this thread, next time you go there walk down into the middle of the crater. Then lie down and look up at the sky.

Hey presto ! The sky is a big green circle ! Wow !

Morning all. Really enjoying these landscape photographs. Sorry a few of you have had problems. Will have to look at ways to make it easier, or at least to post some reliable guidelines.

In the meant time, hope you keep trying.

    File's like that...

Sorry a few of you have had problems.

Just wondering whether part of it could be the .jpg / .jpeg trap.
I notice some files from cameras or scans end up with .jpeg
and won't place or import into some programs, simply shortening
the suffix to .jpg fixes it in most cases...

...and does the system prefer dimensionally large 72dpi files
or are smaller 300dpi images better, or doesn't it matter?
Guidelines and troubleshooting repertoire would be good...

    Yes, we're working on it.

Overall though, I'm loving the New Dialogue of imagery, text and nostalgia. It's everything I hoped for... Oh crap, a Joe Cocker earworm.

This sums up what I do, what I'm all about. It's an obvious, and some may say trite, analogy to use.

That looks like araujia sericifera, the emergency monarch butterfly plant that saves the little animated football jerseys when they run out of swan plant. It took me years & don't know how many lost caterpillars to learn that. Congratulations, great pic.
