  • merc,

They don't think they are old men, it's Peter Pan all over again (or the Puer Aeternus for those of a Latin bent).

  • Matty Smith,

I'll run with the former suggestion. Most of Leighton and George's supporters have cobwebs threaded throughout their nostrils.

I suppose this means zombies. Oooh, I'm not fond of them either.

  • Hamboy,

I think I prefered the pagan gods - they only fucked with famous people's lives.

Yes with style and seduction and the thrill of the chase, they got their women.
How sad a god do you have to be if you have to actually tell the chick (Mary) that you had your way with her and knacked her up. lol

  • 3410,

I can't understand why fundys who profess love for God's earth and their fellow men past, present and future are so opposed to global warming.

I'd say that the fact that they're all about the next world goes a long way to understanding why they don't seem to give a damn about this one. Many fundamentalists actually want to see the End Times come on as fast as possible.

As well as fucking swans, bulls, siblings, parents and all manner of perverted stuff..... the Greek and Roman gods were certainly unhindered by morals or convention when it came to having a good time!

  • merc,

Global Warming is quickening The Rapture, everyone knows that, and not a moment too soon.

As a pose to taking another man's wife, then expecting him to raise the off spring.

3410: You forgot idea that god provides everything we need. Which is another arguement they use against worrying about climate change.
Though there are more mainstream evangelist groups that wish to fight climate change, since they consider the earth to be gods creation and so we should respect it.

  • Riddley Walker,

    see, http://www.cybercitycafe.com/prophecies.html.

Either God or 'human ingenuity' - another Leighton line.

If it's 'the fire next time', not flooding, shouldn't they be more concerned about global warming?

Hmmm, so that's God's homepage, think his son created it?

  • Heather Gaye,

Aurgh, can't read, bad web design.

Thing is, God doesn't have to destroy the world with a flood. Humans can do a perfectly adequatic job without him.

No because they would have been raptured up to heaven long before that.
And their form of christianity doesn't give a f**k about anyone else.

  • merc,

Did you know that the fullstop (.) is a symbol for Christ? I've noticed you've stopped using fullstops Agent Riddley, no biggie, just noticed, you know.
And Heather, I think we really stepped up to the plate when we developed the Bomb, not that destroying the earth 8 times over on a guess isn't enough or anything.
Some have called this development a psychotic act.

  • WH,

I'm clearly in no position to adjudicate there.

I think this is an important point. On what grounds does someone like Garth or Leighton discard the findings of the IPCC? It is absurd that some people presume to make authoritative claims about the truth or falsity of scientific theory without a command of the science. Its absurd to invite us to try.

Jesus's dad was going to give him a Zen (over-compensating solo father), but realized that would compromise the franchise.

  • Ben Austin,

We have enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world? Wait, you mean 'xplode it up to bits and pieces, or more like one of those boorish post apocalipyse films that get made every couple of months.

If we can fully make it dust and not just perform ritual ablation then we should be rightly proud of ourselves.
