I like this line from James:
And as we know from Bjorn Lomberg, many environemntal indicators are improving, not spinning out of control.
Ladies and gentleman, because Russell has already linked to me in this thread on citing appropriate authorities, I'll just say that adding "as we know from Bjorn Lomberg" to any sentence is both fun and not informative.

Until some one *proves* that James is not recycling hot air, I'm afraid I can't take anything he says seriously.
As proving a negative is a logical conundrum I guess you won't be taking him seriously then. However, it also shows a lack of rational thought and a complete lack of tolerance of the irrational, a conundrum in itself, as we know from Bjorn Lomberg.

As we know from Bjorn Lomborg, I agree with Steve.

But it's mainly the lack of a suitable control that makes the whole climate thing tricky scientifically. I'd rather not get it wrong for the sake of feeling temporary smug warmth like someone who's just pissed their pants.
That tends towards taking the overwhelming consensus of the world's climate experts seriously. Unfortunately the same does not apply to demented denialist ravings when ignoring them has such minor consequences.
