Am so sorry for you that you are having this trouble preserving your monopoly. NOT!!!
As it happens, lightbox is a pretty crappy service since most people will not be able to watch it on their TV. Watching something on a computer is not my idea of relaxed fun. But as the ISPs concerned are not doing anything wrong I doubt that they should be too worried anyway. And I also wonder if Mr Nyblock (who would be better named Mt Wantablock) would sue the Post Office if I purchased a DVD from off-shore and had them (The PO) deliver it too me? -

In answer to your top question; I used to, but no longer do. CL used to be good but its become self-indulgent frothy crap. It needs a good review. Now I watch the intro - on learning that I will have to put up with either CL doing a show about itself (as in 'should we keep our beards' or 'how long does it take Lochie to get to work') or that I would have to endure the inane Ali Akram, I turn to the concert programme.

I agree with Ian Dalziel. It may be true that NZ is the 4th highest per-capita emitter in the world. But if NZ just vanished it would not make one iota's difference to what happens next - climate wise. On the other hand we could put some energy/thought/investment into matters such as architecture and infrastructure that would help our neighbors deal with such events.

I am glad the police did what they did. Everyone agrees a crime was committed, Hager has said he will not co-operate in the investigation of that crime so what did he expect? Just wished the police were as vigilant on a couple of other matters, but they are doing the right thing here.

We have both solar hot water and PV panels. The hot water is definitely worth it - but I doubt that its worth borrowing money to pay for PV (It may have been when we installed because the price our electric company paid for our surplus electricity used to be better). The best time to install solar hot water panels on an old house is when you have to replace the hot water cylinder. (At which point you should do a compare with heat-pump hot water tanks). If you get solar hot water - make sure you get vacuum tubed systems - not flat panel systems
