After listening to the architect on Campbell Live tonight I've changed my mind, go the Waterfront. It looks great. Even if it's not completed on time for the rugby, costs $1bn, sits empty 363 days a year and half the seats are empty during future tests, it'd probably be worth it.
For some reason when Trevor Mallard was pitching it seemed like a really dumb idea... is that just me or should he maybe take a back seat on this and let the experts sell it?

Maybe I'm too hard on the Dems - even if all they accomplish is removing Rick Santorum from office they'll still have made the world a better place . . .
Yeah unfortunately it looks a lot like a "lesser of two evils" thing.
I'm not overly optimistic of a Democratic House, Senate or even President being able to deal with Iraq properly, for example. Sure, it's an impossible situation, but they have to take their share of the blame for just letting it happen.
If they have the balls to prosecute everyone that needs to be prosecuted, and basically just not be evil, then I guess that's a start.

Here's a clue: 90 percent of House Democrats voted against the NSA's Terrorist Surveillance Program; 80 percent voted against the terrorist interrogation bill. All these counterterror programs are at risk if House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi gets the speaker's gavel next year . . .
So basically what you're saying is, only 90% of Democrats are FOR the 4th Amendment, and a mere 80% support the US following the Geneva Convention?
Like you, I'm shocked - why would anyone vote for THOSE guys???
