I'm not going to respond to obtuse baiting - you know perfectly well what I mean. We will confine ourselves to illegal drugs and abuse of prescription drugs.

Danielle, if you really want to debate this one, bring it on.

Boo hoo. Having a nurse in once a day to shoot you full of surgical grade heroin is probably "safe" too. My main objection to drug use is that it tends to be the province of narcissistic tossers with little concern for their families and dependants. I prefer my brain chemistry and perceptions of reality baseline thanks.

The only potential silver lining is that they might pay more attention in chemistry class (sigh)

My secret vice is reading the Sunday News. I have always wondered why they continue to employ Doug Golightly as sports editor because he's such a shameless shill for his ubergroppenfuhrer masters at Sky(net).

Just reading around the interwebs, this whole business has highlighted a division between the blue collar/small business/beneficiary bloc who seem to have no comprehension of the expectations and minimum requirements for white collar/knowledge/management-admnin bloc workers in large organisations. Is it the first salvo in a class war.

I slogged my guts out at uni, have a student loan out the wazzoo (try paying that and kiwisaver on a limited income), and have no dependants so can't take advantage of Working for Families (totally discriminating against non-breeders, the ugly, the lonely and teh gaze) and the very least I fucking want is a weekend where I don't have to do the dishes or cook while I sort the country's shit out. The whingers can take their finger sandwidges and church hall and shove them up their bleating kiwi-battler arses.

Cannabis has serious impacts on mental heath

For the very large majority of people who ever use it, it doesn't.

Au contraire mon ami. I find the inane giggling at everything, occasional paranoia and tendency to empty the cupboards of all food-like substances are serious (if temporary) impacts on my mental health and waistline.

My heart goes out to Street. Helen's blatant pandering to knee-jerk public reaction just about broke my heart. I have no one left to vote for :(
