Ha ha hahaa.... Indeed it is.
The only thing better than reading a well written blog (present PA company included) is reading a badly written one... So I may keep a watchful eye on winnie's. Only problem being, does that mean his hit rate will go up, he'll think it's successful and claim he knows what he's doing? Or am I giving him too much credit for going any further than typing into a white box and clicking submit, may be analytics aren't his thing.

Am I alone in finding Brooke Fraser downright sinister? It's not just the Christian thing. It's like she's the dark heart of some precise, calculating machine whose intentions we can only guess at. If ever the Antichrist were loose upon the land, it would look -- and sound -- like Brooke Fraser.
Yeah couldn't agree more. And I'm sure I remember reading that she was 'bored' of New Zealand and thought she'd gotten too big for it... Yeah ok Brooke, sure thing. I can imagine her introducing herself to an American record producer with a sentence deserving of nothing more than a Tui Billboard: "Well I'm really talented and in New Zealand I'm a huge celebrity, I had to leave because I just couldn't do any better there" Yeah Right.
"Mate, I bought the ski-racks because I needed to carry the Jousting sticks... they're long form." If ever there was a radio ad that deserved a silver scroll...

That radiohead article is very interesting however impatience probably had a bit to do with it... didn't their server go down because it was so popular? Had I got round to wanting it really really badly on the day it was released (as obsessive Radiohead fans tend to do) then my first port of call would've been a file sharer probably - plus I would've known I didn't have to feel guilty about it if it was available free.

Yeah I've never really 'got' the whole Op-Shop thing... I remember going to an NZ music showcase a few years back that featured them alongside Brooke Fraser, Evermore and Katchafire... And I'll be honest: I was BORED.
I had an admiration (and still do) for Katchafire doing as well as they are in that tough kind of 'pop-reggae/pop-dub' genre - a genre that I think Barnaby of the Black Seeds was almost disappointed to be recognized in at the b-net awards a few years back, "Best Pop Album... ummm, ok" where roughly his words on acceptance.
But Evermore and Op-shop blend together for me, they don't look the same or even really sound the same as such but it's just more of THAT... in a world that is swamped with THAT right now.
Sam Flynn Scott and anything he's putting his name too is some of the best stuff we're seeing at the moment, and I hope he gets some recognition at some point. Although Liam's fantastic and equally deserving.

I'm glad plenty of other people spotted the Bushman faux pas... made me glad I didn't bother to get round to entering the competition. That and I've pretty slack with the blogging lately anyway.

While everyone is busy being geeks, does anyone know of a touch typing tutor suitable for our nine year old? For a Mac, of course.

Mavis Beacon was what I learnt on when I was 12-13, didn't even have a computer at home to practice on until I was 16 by which time I was clocking 60-80 words a minute. Kids used to tease me because they thought I went home and typed all night. That was on a Mac at the time, assume that's still the case.
and DON'T get them to learn on a stupid ergonomic keyboard... hopefully it goes without saying but just thought I'd warn you.

As a web developer, must say thanks for the reference to downloading an old copy of Netscape, had never gotten around to getting a hold of it. Anyone have an old copy of IE for Mac they might want to direct me to? Need one but been too busy to dig deep... What with spending all my spare time reading Public Address.

They sure do, soon as I heard I had a look at their site and still said Mac wasn't properly supported... Hopeless. I didn't think Flip4Mac supported the DRM stuff (at least it didn't use to) so will get onto it asap. Cheers!
