It's not so much a pastry vs dolphin argument, unless you consider them elementally as conflicting pie-orities (snare drum). It's more of a pies vs ice cream argument. As Russell said, statue vs. carnival. I reckon Foreskin's Cement should lose that fight.
And don't forget, the WCC are still backing the Rugby Sevens boots and all. Timed as the same weekend as the Cuba Carnival, it is clear where the council's pie-orities lie.

Seems there's cat drama everywhere. Mate of mine's big all-white cat lost half its tail to a slamming door. Huge vet bill and the cat got a new new nickname Penis Tail, due to the pre-amputation shaving.
My own one decided to go behind the fridge last week. When trying to extricate himself, impaled his paw on the condenser, ripping it off its hinges. Cat and fridge both recovering nicely.
Nothing like a bit of cat drama to take your mind off things. The resident bogey cat here is called Mr Bigglesworth.

By the way, feel free to show your support for MMP with this Facebook group. It's a bit sad that Rick Giles' powerful argument has a bigger group than the retaining of our electoral system.

And I've just been contacted and assured that the Law Commission WILL accept submissions on its Privacy Act review after today, and until the end of May.
I have similar assurances that the Law Commission are accepting submissions on their Controlling and Regulating Drugs discussion paper until the end of May as well.
