It makes me feel pretty bloody manly knowing that if anyone was to say "I've got this fish, but don't know what to do with it", I can truthfully say "Do you want me to fillet that fucker?". That's awesome.

Then you pull out your fileting knive and sharpen it (no. 4) , select a good wine (no.1) , then cook it (no.2).

You should get extra points for combining tasks.

No power tools ? Surely there should be some mandatory requirement ?

  • Hard News: Night at the Museum,

Yeah , it was a great event. SO surreal walking through the hall of memories listening to Neil Dadson's performance!

    Other museums take note!

  • Hard News: Some Week,

The town hall install is done by an Australian company called The Electric Canvas . They mostly use some specialist projection gear from a French manufacturer called E/T/C Audiovisuel.

  • Hard News: If you can't say something…,

I am well aware that Judith Tizzard could be a fantastic person, but if her performance on the portfolios was not up to what the voters expected, they are well within their rights to not vote for her.

And I guess thats what the Auckland Central voters thought, right or wrong.

I didn't see any advertising of any sort as to why I should vote for her, I received no information about what she had done for Auckland Central as the MP, and also as the Minister of Auckland.

The Auckland Regional Amenities Funding Bill.

  • Hard News: And meanwhile ...,

Incidentally, I'd like to draw attention to two new fundie Nat MPs- Peseta Sam Lotu'Liga (Maungakiekie, Nat) and Jonathon Young (New Plymouth, Nat)- although Mr Young (no relation whatsover!!!) took New Plymouth off Harry Duynhoven, previously Labour's only remaining sock con troglodyte. I fear these two characters will be this term's version of Banks and Lee...

    Its already started :

  • Hard News: Prospects,

Why can't we vote over a weekend?

You've been able to cast early votes for weeks, does that count ?. I did that last time and it was a breeze, so am interested to here that AUT was oversubscribed.

I like the single general polling day approach because it means you get a result that night.

I don't know. A Telethon style TV weekend marathon with the target being 100% voter turnout could work. Although we would have to make do without Pete Sinclair.
