Only Martyn Bradbury at ‘Tumeke’ approaches Craig Ranapia’s ability in the breathy fantasist politician/journo sexual niche.
Which brings me to “Hidney”, didn’t he do a nasty line in verbal ‘gay bashing’ at a convention centre several years back? The MMP mantra of getting all political views into public scrutiny has been stretched to the limit by ACT.

PM Key not known for his love of detail in public is now dissing meatworkers, surely one of the most unpleasant occupations, and their alleged sick leave habits. Fer chrissakes a Prime Minister on about Monday/Friday syndrome.
Hopefully the Natz have made a tactical blunder by moving the 90 day no work rights threshold beyond SME sites whose owners are the true supporters.

Yeah, as first port of call for foot traffic, Kingsland and Valley Rd/Dominon Rd proprietors are probably simultaneously bricking themselves and gleefully anticipating jingle tills.
Good luck to ’em. -
Will do the decent thing Graham and respond, I would not touch Fiji tickets with a 40 foot pole, going back to Rambuka days there have been iniatives to help Fiji back onto ‘the path’, none of which have been successful.
Sometimes perhaps you gotta let people sort out their own debacle.
It seems to me the old “they have not come for me yet” divide and rule tactic applies, not to mention almost daily decrees that give here and take there (free entry to surf beaches), have assisted some to conveniently ignore or not even comprehend the reality that they live in a dictatorship where violence is very near.I know a guy who has lived there for years running a small importing business and his ears must be very sore from having his fingers stuck in them for most of the day.
There has been wholesale migration of Indian Fijians and the joint just seems a lost cause at this point. Most other dictatorships and places that have lost the plot I would avoid too without a pressing reason.

Recall all the bytes expended here on Trev Mallard’s waterfront stadium? Pointless debate fatigue is setting in.
Has Johhny partied? If the ‘slug’ or whatever eventuates he should be required to have a couple of lines, half bottle of voddy, and keep hydrated with cold beer till dawn just for annoying us.

The unexpected demise of valued people provokes existential thoughts, treat everyone better, have that coffee indeed.
Paul brings back memories of the clunky past–netscape vs. explorer, ihug offers flat rate, etc. and his knowledge seemed to balloon as the years went by, mirroring the development of the internet world he conveyed so well to many of us listeners and readers. He was so not the ‘other’ Paul Reynolds!

sorry old chaps, but tax cuts equal service cuts...lets head the pre schoolers off at the pass, excellent!

Good luck with Garth. It is interesting to glimpse that unguarded TV moment when such apparent numbskulls sometimes reveal why they bother.
Another pesky bloke is Mike Sabin of Methcon who is increasingly “gone to” by media and various Nats. Sabin, a retired youngish detective with a racist reputation in the backblocks of the Far North has been mentioned here before. His ‘nice little earner’ via Methcon includes a minimum $1000 fee to run a basic ‘P’ seminar for skint communities suffering from spinoffs of said ‘P’. Meantime Sabin chips in recon to his old buddies down at the station. Nice.
Garth is a bit antsy about revealing SST funding too.

The most troublesome gang in Whanganui is surely the one led by Mayor Laws, namely the council (excepting those members not agreeing wth the insignia ban). If this bylaw is resisted, all sorts of Police resources may be tied up.
It is no barrel of fun having close contact with most patched gangs but the mincing Mr Law’s petty authoritarianism should not be supported just because the targets are unpopular. Dare I say it, but who will be next?...also no ones mentioned the “Filthy Few”, a highly descriptive old fashioned gang moniker.
