This whole brick wall is a rarity downtown (and there's a bit of light play), so it's worth a post.

Running low on watery reflection pics…

Tranquil. Wish that was the bottom of my (lens) barrel Nora.

Britomart, after dropping in on Russell DJing at Racket bar.

You Aucks-about-town have such glamorous lives! This is the nearest I have to a puddle: a drip on a nasturtium leaf centre using the Raynox macro filter. I'm okay with the vignetting on this but I'm trying to eliminate it in other shots.

Gudrun, we must follow each other around the city. I coincidentally went past about 11.30, saw it was open and went in. The Bish herself was there, people were trilling, milling, and doing things in that quiet, determined way of church helpers on a mission. I like the place: it's Japanese/Scandi influenced with nice lines -- hope they can restrain the urge to fuss it up and decorate. Has a lovely airy lightness. The outside may mellow -- right now it's like a giant settler's V-hut or corrugated iron tent, especially from the Moorhouse Ave side, very bland and grey.

Duh! Yes that would be lovely Jackie. I am using my networks (of all sorts) to find her a very good home because Nina is a one-out-of-the-box dog.

No. Is he standing this year? No clear statement of intent; which is sometimes due to inability to put it into words, though with the professionalism of the circletrust.co.nz website I would have thought he could hire some help if he wanted to be clear. I put him in the “need more info” file.

Same. I think the website will be a mirror: they will stand for whatever you want them to stand for. They have both been told what to think for the last few years and I don't believe either know what they stand for.

Having never raised a puppy from birth before this litter, I marvel at the growth rate. Sometimes I wake in the morning to find the pups have grown overnight. Both are developing sharp little wuffs and have been experimenting with singing (our neighbour's dog sings a lot: when he's alooone, with sirens, at the mooon.

The vet predicts they will be smaller than a labrador, and built more like a border collie, which seems about a perfect size: not too big or too small. I think their coat will be silkier than a lab's, though it is too early to tell if they take after their dad -- known around here as "the perp" -- and have long hair.

I confess to being smitten, especially with Daisy. They are such cool little beings that we would keep both if it were do-able; that is less likely now my partner has taken voluntary redundancy.
