Craig, it's because people love to laugh at themselves. The characters people find funniest are usually the ones that most resemble themselves or people they know. Hence the popularity of 'The Office'. It so brutally resembled things most people have experienced in office jobs.

It's the old role of court jester, the only person who could speak the truth sometimes. Comedy makes truth palatable.

TV's easy to give up. I've done it hundreds of times.

I think the most inappropriate use of a 'How do you feel?' was seeing a TV1 reporter asking that of a kid who had burned his face off with fireworks. Followed up by 'Will you do it again?'. The look of incredulity on the kid's burnt face sticks in my memory.

LOL, Damian, thx for that blast from the past. Not only a shit jersey, but a shaggy mullet, tight black jeans and white sneakers. Reminds me of so many chicks when I was at school. Thank God those fashions moved on.

Craig, "I've got to say the standard of couture among the criminal fraternity is not one to make a fashionista's pulse race. Pop culture lies again... :)"

Stands to reason though. Most criminals don't give a shit what people think of them, other than other criminals, and being fashionable would probably be seen as being gay, which for some reason is equated with being a soft target. More pop culture lies...

Not that Bain is a career criminal. He was probably unfashionable for better reasons.

The complete works of Bane? Playlist might go:
    1. Speechless
    2. Fuck what you heard
    3. Can we start again
    4. The big gundown
    5. Both guns blazing
    6. Struck down by me

    etc..

    Poor taste...he might be innocent.

Merc, Craig can be confrontational. It's your choice if you want to up the ante and turn it into a flame war. I think you shouldn't because it's always a waste of time. Not taking sides, just saying 'rise above it'.

Che, no-one is forcing anyone to read it either, except God. Or talk about it over 9 pages of blog commentary! That we are drawn into it shows the power of stalking, something Wishart is self confessedly intimate with. Perhaps his only ever credible story, and everything since is a cry for help.
