  • Capture: This Is Brel, in reply to Carol Green,

I was going to comment but thought Iʻd let you do it.

Cheers Carol. Funny how these things go. Will get in touch, but don't really mind, as long as they put a credit. And a link to this Blog. ;-)

  • Capture: This Is Brel, in reply to Scott Chris,

Thanks Scott. Fixed your link too. St Vincent are amazing. One of the many acts I need to get more of.

  • Capture: This Is Brel, in reply to Helga,

I wanted a separate audience response, especially to Leon Radojkovic on piano.

Absolutely agree, and I should have covered it better I guess. Kind of hope there is some live recording or video footage coming from the show. It had a cinematic vibe to it, which would translate well, IMhO.

Here's Nina Simone doing Ne Me Quitte Pas.

Love the middle shot, Jackson. They should hire you.

Cheers Sacha. In a round about way, they kind of have. Unofficially, of course. ;-)

The original Jacques Brel Amsterdam is definitely worth a viewing.

Tech Pistil & the Flaming Stamen

Can't think of a better way to tick over 1000 comments. Not that I notice these things. Ahem.

A few of us just caught Chris Knox and friends at Real Groovy signing records. What an amazing man he is. Thought of you Ian. Given I was 11 or 12 when they were around, my claim is rather tenuous. But it somehow felt significant.

Anyway, spring has another month to run by my reckoning, so keep 'em coming.

should get my plant book out I guess….

As you may notice, I have consulted the twitterverse. Opinions thus far vary. ;-)

Henderson Park was a great little location for an outdoor event. My first time there. Hopefully the food trucks will stock up a bit better next year, but otherwise it was pretty good. Shame I couldn't stay for more.
