Please keep us updated, if the situation warrants it

Word is the Thai Army's Psych Ops is playing the redshirts Boney M right now. Better than water cannons for breaking resolve perhaps

  • Cracker: "It says 'Let's b friends', and…,

Although it wasn't so many years ago these two guys who must now be pushing 50 used to host bFM's electronic music shoBw

You talking to me and G? Heh..but to be fair when I killed the show, because of age, and the limitations of the format, and moved to George, I made the fact that I was an old f**ker, one of the show's selling points..the knowledge that comes with age or some bullshit like that. If you meant someone else, then I'll STFU.

But yeah, I'm not talking specialist shows and I do think that B has somehow lost track of what it's supposed to be if they're moving Matt to brekky.

Then again, most kids I know don't even know what a radio looks like.

  • Hard News: Touched by the hand,

A Singapore-based company has helpfully come out with the JooJoo tablet, which is just like the iPad except it really sucks. The Wired review shows that getting a device like this to really sing isn't trivial.

The Germans have come up with the WePad which, if all specs are accurate, really doesn't suck apart from the appalling name, but lacks the Apple momento-hype and marketing I guess.

This has just begun but I'm having issues with the lack of screen real estate on my laptop already (17") as I run my dozen apps or more, so I'm not planning to downsize that soon.

I guess I'm a dickhead for not wanting to

  • OnPoint: Iraq, from the air,

Sacha suggested elsewhere that this thread was as good as any to post my thoughts about the redshirt fracas in Bangkok, as I'm only a few kms away, but most especially about the appalling way the NZ media's covered it, at least on line. I went one step further and blogged.

Horrible days up here. I'm hoping that they see sense and back down today as all sides seem to be uttered shocked by what escalated yesterday.

Images of the redshirts a couple of weeks back are here.

Yeah Chrissie Hynde stole her chops from Sandie but the '60s siren kills her everytime.

  • Cracker: Hot Cross Words,

    You know, community.

One of the things that most irks me in New Zealand is the way everyone retreats into their boxes at 6pm, mostly not to be seen till the sun comes up again. It kills community and I love the way everywhere here in Asia, and across much of Europe & in places like NYC, community thrives, people communicate and life bubbles until late around shops, cafes and the streets. You even find it in our trans-Tasman cousins, or at least in selected 'burbs where non-Anglo Saxons live and breathe.

Minor hobby horse of mine, but it's one reason I live elsewhere
