And that’s where I clock off. I’m trying to have a polite discussion and I don’t think that’s fair. Enjoy the rest of the discussion with out me.
I'm sorry if you we're offended, but you've spent two pages telling us why you just can't get worked up over the prospectus. I, on the other hand, am really offended. First of all, I drink craft beer. A lot of it. And most of the people I know who also do are pretty pissed off buy Moa's bullshit.
Second, as B points out, this kind of thing plays into the world we live in. Every time something like this is printed, it's more reinforcement that men are a certain way, and women are less than that. And yeah, I'm always going to be angry.

Also the copy is a bit over the top I agree.
I guess I’m having trouble getting worked up by this on the beer/ sexism scale this is pretty mild to what tui et al serves up every week and I don’t see PA posts on them.1) what Emma said.
2) how nice for you that you can choose not to get worked up by sexism.
3) If you can ignore the misogyny, can you find it in yourself to be annoyed by the way they are trying to sell a version of manhood that assumes all men aspire to the Aston-driving, swaggery, homophobic stereotype?
4) Tui aside, plenty of beer brands, especially craft beer, manage to market themselves without pissing off large sections of the population. -
I want to ask a serious question if the rat pack is out what images of men can you use to appeal to men that does not result in accusations of sexism or ignoring women? If this style is out what style is in?
I don't know, but where does the idea that they should market only to men come from? Women drink beer and buy shares. You know, with our independent incomes and all.

Field Theory: Never alone with Metenolone, in reply to
Really? Did you have enough time to watch all the sports as it was?

*I would pay to see a movie with Valerie Adams in a Jason Bourne-type role
A LOT of money. Maybe we should just go to see the new Bourne movie when it comes out, and do a alternate commentary*?
* We'll probably have to be drunk.

Finally, I must only know wonderful people because, while I have seen numerous angry rants about sexist comments directed at Ostapchuk and her appearance, I have not seen any of the comments themselves
I tweeted last night that the whole thing makes me sad, because I like to assume that all Olympians are drug-free, and I hate having that (naive) view messed up.
And at the time it was all "wooo! Val!', which yes. But the Facebook feed I woke up to this morning? "She's a man" "She looks like that kid from two and a half men" etc etc ad nauseum.
After whining for two weeks about commentators calling athletes "girls" and/or creepily talking about how pretty they are, this is at least a refreshing change. </sarcasm>

One quick quibble: Sky put the men's basketball gold medal match on the MySky HD channels. I paid money to get Sky for the games, and I had to watch a fucking replay on Prime. Bastards.
But yeah. Much crying, much smiling ridiculously at stupidly happy athletes, and a lot of snacks and beer on my couch. I feel slightly bereft, now.

“One flesh” doesn’t sound sexy to me. It sounds like I just lost the right to control my own body.
Which, in fairness, is exactly what they want.

Isn’t it meant to sound just a bit rude?
Even so, I'm with Danielle. All the eew.
