As someone who was frogmarched to a PC a couple of months back (my faculty arguing that they couldn't support Macs), I am with Russell in only tolerating my Dell. I sometimes wonder how a one-armed person would turn it on (control/alt/delete).

Wow! Through the generosity of friends we have tickets to the Wales vs Fiji game today.

Turning to much better music than this BDO tosh, just listened to the version of Richard Thompson's "Dimming of the Day" on the new relesase by Alison Krauss & The Union Station.
So beautiful it makes you want to cry....

Hard News: Who owns the news?, in reply to
a regularly-updated Media Ownership in NZ resource for media teachers
It floats around various media teacher lists and appears in our journal Script but I have found a link here, oddly enough from AUT. Needs updating for 2011--I will add it to the list of things to do.

A bloody awful lineup for BDO--just when I was thinking of giving it another go. Bogan heaven, methinks.

I agree with you, Paul. The VSM is just a bit of ideological zealotry from ACT (they can't influence the big stuff so they nibble at the edges like feral rats). On the other hand, the student unions need to construct a better defence, especially as it is extremely unlikely that universities will pick up services which support students.

. He sticks with that, and consequently never learns of its utter falsehood
Ben--I think you must be a great father. I had my daughter believing, for some years, that Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson were the same person. But that seems rather mean now.

I realise that JMAD is constrained by funding but it is very new media-oriented when there are so many areas of the media they haven't included eg advertising agencies; film distribution and exhibition. the full gamut of television and telecommunications etc.
Just on the quiet, I have been compiling a regularly-updated Media Ownership in NZ resource for media teachers for over ten years but AUT didn't seem to know about this. Currently looking at film distribition and exhibition locally--did a presentation on this at the recent JMAD conference. -

way that women often like to be held, caressed and whispered sweet nothings to during the afterglow
Why shouldn't blokes be able to have such experiences too???

See you there, with another minibus load of students. Will try to get there, this time, before all the snacks disappear.
