  energy being expended by the pressure of the vehicles going over the surface and some engineers in the UK are doing that with pedestrian power already.

  Going back to this, I was sure I’d read something about that being trialed somewhere. And here it is.

  Vehicle-powered generators hit the road.

  Using the vehicles breaking inertia to capture the energy is a brilliant idea. More than just the vertical motion.

  One is moss growing on the fellfield near Lake Alta in the Remarkables, the other is the Shotover River where it meets the Kawerau.

  Actually, isn't "noise wall" a bit of a misnomer? Isn't it really a Wall of Silence? :-)
