Tie! Tie!

The same people might also want state sanctioned sharia courts here as well as they are in the UK, with all that comes with that
That sentence isn't exactly true, by the way, and certainly not in any meaningful way.
Also: Barcelona & Catalonia was a hotbed of European anarchism for thirty years; that's partly why the Catholic Church & the Francoists reacted quite so hard.
The Spanish Left are/were very Left.

Hang on, how can the RWC be the third biggest event in the world?
The World Cup and the Summer Olympics beat it; surely so do a least one, if not more, of the European Nation's Cup, the Champion's League, the Tour, the NBA Finals' series, the World's Series, the Superbowl, Indianapolis, and the golf and tennis majors?
I hate to say it, but there's an awful lot of marketing speak in those claims about the benefits of the RWC -- and I don't see why we should buy it all.

(Possibly not the best way to phrase that sentiment...)

I dunno -- a sight better than that Black woman...

I shouldn't say that's supporting to win though -- most football supporters have no compunction about booing the opposition...
The crowd you get at Murrayfield's different from the crowd you'd get at Hampden Park; Hampden Park when Scotland plays is legendary.
Queen's Park, on the other hand...

I will always applaud any points scored by the opposition, but only after I groan. I will never boo an opponent (unless they have done something unsportsmanlike, in which case I shall chant "off")
You don't really play to win at all, do you?

(Oh, also, Stanford has only one d.)

Yeah -- don't use that music.
I don't like the current copyright laws, esp. the RIAA thuggery, but that sort of reuse is, I think, a bad example of Lessig's point.
It sounds bad, but the process is no different to hiring an actor etc, and would probably exist under any copyright regime.
If you're against copyright at all, I suppose it works.

The problem, is that it's just quoting.
Well, no. It isn't just. It's taking very substantial parts of other works and using them to add value to your work.
