  • Field Theory: Skate Highway One,

Because they skate their own way? They like purple better? Why would they be?

On kids liking it, I think some of the younger ones struggle - but try getting any child to watch anything not made by Pixar for near two hours.

My daughter (9) loves it, was gutted we didn't get to skate highway one.

  • Busytown: A turn-up for the books,

Ignoring criticism and review, surely Penguin can't stop the Listener printing quotes from non-Penguin books that just happen to be also 'quoted' in a Penguin book.

hey are used for heralding Muslims to prayer , 5 times a day,via an amplified sound system, i might add , very loudly .

No, no they aren't. The four currently existing minarets in Switzerland are not used to call anyone for prayer. They're just towers, kind of like steeples really, but without noisy bells.

If that's an indication of your attention to detail and reality, avoid wiring.

  • Hard News: The March for Democracy,

Take it as a compliment. You've got to be saying something interesting to be worthy of hate mail. Especially researched hate mail.

You can't get more Real New Zealander than that, surely?

Not without a working knowledge of Dewey, no.

    No no no John.

The right to express a view is determined by the number of plumbers or electricians likely to agree with it.

Anything else is dictatorship. (Builders must really fucking hate this guy).

  • Hard News: The March for Democracy,

I think they [Labour/Goff] are learning.

I think that's the problem. He's been learning for what? 30 years? He isn't a newbie who can claim he didn't really understand what he was saying. He's learning how to dog-whistle, but hasn't got the pitch quite right yet.

    Also

anyone who thinks a child has the same powers of reason as an adult is living in the land of illusion!

Same power is not the same as same quality. My children can certainly reason, I'd like to think not as well as me yet, but they certainly share the same power.

  • Hard News: The March for Democracy,

...people like Keith Locke, anti-semetic and homophobic to boot...

Whether that makes him homophobic or not I don't know

You don't see any problem with these two statements? Not counting the bit where first off you were happy for Zaoui's apparent lack of comment to indict Locke, and in the second it's Locke's apparent lack of comment that may not be enough to indict him.

murdering Gays / Lesbians, as so many straight muslim men are wont to do

Personally I find Islamophobia about as endearing as homophobioa and antisemitism. How 'bout you?

And note I'm not defending the Islamic Salvation Front, just commenting on your casual comment.

  • Hard News: So-called celebrity justice,

I just hide my fleet of cars and expensive art collection when you come around, Craig.

You still do it personally? How quaint. Why not simply summon the help?

  • Hard News: The March for Democracy,

people like Keith Locke, anti-semetic and homophobic to boot (Ahmed Zaoui never spoke out against Muslim men targetting Gay men)

So Keith Locke is homophobic because a refugee he supported through an incredibly dodgy security/legal process has never explicitly proven he's not homophobic? I guess that makes me homophobic too.

Bugger, I thought I was better than that.
