Not really programming per se, but in terms of game development, perhaps Leo might like to try Blender (http://www.blender.org/) an open source 3D animation and game development suite.

I am so pleased about the new cable. If they have a public float to raise capital, I may fish around the back of the sofa for some cash.
This mashup of the Beastie Boys and Battlestar Galactica has put a big geeky smile on my face for the past day or so, it tracks the original Sabotage video perfectly (some NSFW lyrics - one or two f-bombs, that's about it)

Hopefully this will prevent the unseemly practice of trying to solicit comment when a person is clearly in shock or is suffering from grief. Or showing a door-knocking when the interviewee doesn't want to talk. But I doubt it.

It does seem like the surprise hit of the games coverage was women's curling, thanks in no small part to the MILF-y appeal (and not only to the chaps, I gather from Emma Hart's tweets) of some of the competitors.
I'm glad you mentioned that. The women's curling I found to be the beach volleyball of the winter games. I think it's because the camera lingered on the athletes and they didn't have goggles on.

Call me old fashioned, but can't the new city just apply for a grant of a coat of arms. It costs around 2000 pounds.

While I'm for decriminalisation, I'm not so keen on smoking as a delivery method for medical treatment. It's imprecise and it damages the lungs. I'm sure THC could be extracted into pill form or some other safer delivery method. Given that opium and cocaine have pharmaceutical applications, I'm not sure what the impediment to THC in pill form would be.
