  • Open for Business,

It's not an issue with 49, per se: it's that MySky finds it difficult to recognise new episodes of things that are repeated at odd times throughout the week, so certain channels with a lot of repeats, like the Documentary Channel, confuse it a bit. I can't make it 'series link' The Soup on the E! channel for love nor money...

I believe the grunts out at Sky central program all the series links manually, and I've been told by someone that works there that if you email series link requests through via the Sky website they will eventually find their way to the right people to be actioned.

One problem we notice is that when a show is series linked properly, it's often the episodes that screen in prime time, with no series link option for the repeat in the wee small hours. With a maximum of two shows able to be recorded at once, it would be nice to be able to record shows like that outside of prime time so as to minimise clashes.

  • MySky strangeness?,

No weirdness here to report, apart from the usual issues that seem to creep in when the box hasn't been rebooted for a while (forgetting to record shows, etc). Are they able to upgrade themselves "over the air" or does it require a phone connection?

One last, whats up all the scroll bars, looks bad - unless its a firefox 1.0 thing.....

Yep, the annoying scrollbars thing is a Firefox 1.0 issue - fix soon, hopefully.

Ask and ye shall receive. This issue is fixed now. Will check on Mr Crappy's deleted post. I thought we'd undeleted it but it still appears to be hidden.

  • Hard News: Announcing: Public Address System!,

Hi. Dunno if anyone else has pointed this out but my computer is failing to automatically log in when I come to the site. I'm using IE7. Cheers.

Peter, just checking you ticked "Remember Me" when logging in. If you did, and continue to see this behaviour, it may be due to an issue with cookies not applying to both publicaddress.net and www.publicaddress.net, which means you'll need to be consistent with which one you use to access the site, until we can implement a fix.

Not from me, but it seems to log me out after a while, which is annoying.

Robyn, there is an issue with cookies not applying to both publicaddress.net and www.publicaddress.net, so watch which one you're using as you may be logged in on one but not the other. A fix is in the works.

But my Safari has quit on me 3 times in signing on and getting here.

Ouch, any further info you can provide about which part of the process is/was problematic? We use Safari daily on the site, and haven't noted any crashing during signup. Contact me directly through my website link if you have any info. Thanks.
