I firmly maintain that a family who has had one of their own murdered or severely damaged has a right to say, apropos the convicted person, We lost our whanau member forever - why should you enjoy freedom?
Nope. That's exactly why they should not have the decision. I'm not minimising the family's pain, but it's very unlikely they'll be objective about the situation and I like my justice on the impartial side, thanks.

(That was a chilling link, by the way. I wish I hadn't clicked on "Let's Go Shopping").
And I get the feeling that that's what it's all about.

That's too bad, I heard them taking strong issue with robbery's ideas on copyright once.

God, my irony gland is getting a workout today ;-)

Presumably someone form the Granny reads Public Address, because Drinnan's online piece now refers to "Hard News" rather than "Hard Copy".

There are hundreds of Pirate Bays out there. Close them down and hundreds more will appear. You can put every person who has ever hosted an illegal file or downloaded one into jail tomorrow and it won’t make a bit of difference.
Precisely. What the coverage of the trial might have done is get some people to say, "well if it's that easy I might have a go meself"
